I have used qb4.5 for ages..
so now i was thinking of using qb64.. but? what support does it have for dll's or ASM? can old QB lib's be used with it?

Old QB libs cannot be used with it, this is because QB64 doesn't emulate DOS fully so libraries for DOS can't be expected to run on QB64. It does support $include though so I'm working on a port of directqb to QB64. It will be named directqb.bi so you won't even have to alter the source to use it.
I hope that others can help making ports of other libraries that were popular at the time. It currently doesn't support dll's or ASM (except some DOS opcodes that were commonly used in QB 4.5 sourcecode)

Galleon says it will in the next release, so look out for that!!!

It supports DLL libraries now, so you might check that out!
ASM support is yet to come, but you could probably make a DLL which has ASM support and "wrap" it :) |
