Ship Building
One of the biggest differences in PONG II from PONG: Battle Royal is the ability to design and build your own ship. Different parts make different combinations. You will have to experiment with this to find the best way of fighting your opponent. You will be given a chance before each match to change/add to your ship.
The Engineering Screen is set up to show you how much resources you have available. Three important variables will be key to your success. Credits, Energy, & Weight.
Credits determines how much equipment you can buy. The better equipment cost much more then the lesser ones. Energy shows how much power your ship has avaiable for use. Different things need different amounts of power. Weight tells how much mass your ship can support. The smaller the number the more mass your ship is and the slower it moves.
There are three types of both Primary Weapons and Secondary Weapons.
Primary:
BLASTER - Slow moving plasma balls that deal more damage
LASER - Fast moving light waves that deal moderate damage
AUTO GUN - Semi-slow projectiles that fire at high rates, but do little damage
Secondary:
ROCKETS - Projectiles that deal moderate damage and move in a straight line from its source
GRENADES - Projectiles that deal more damage but will fly off in whatever direction your ship is moving*
ATTACK DRONES - Slow moving, low damage projectiles that track your enemy
There are also extra equipment that can help if you are either low on Energy or Weight and also if your ship is overheating to fast* Mirv Grenade will split into four separate grenades.
Game Control
The controls in PONG II are very simple ...

The Right Button will fire you ship's secondary weapons.
The ESC key will bring you out of the game.
The P key will pause the game.

The ESC key will bring you out of the current menu.

Troubleshooting
I'd like to remind you that this program is an amature project by an amature programmer. Do not expect the program to run 100% at all times.
Q. The game is so incredibly slow. How do I speed
it up?
A. You can turn off VSync in the options menu, and increase the
game speed. It will cause flicker.
Q. The game is to flickery. I can't even see the top two inches
of the screen.
A. Turn on the VSync in the options menu. This will slow down the
game, but will almost totally
eliminate the flicker.
Q. The game runs choppy. Is there somethere I can do?
A. I have seen this happen if someone is running the Internet
while playing this game. I suggest closing all other programs
before starting PONG II.
If you have any other problems or find a bug, please e-mail me at
Bud_the_Fish@Juno.com
with your question or bug report. I will do my best to answer any
questions.
As for the bug reports, send me as much as you know about the
bug. Yelling about how it just doesn't work won't help me or you.
